Do I need to set up an M&B account to place an order?
You do not need an account to place an order with M&B. However, we do suggest signing up to the M&B mailing list in order to hear first about our latest news, products, seasonal sales and special offers.
How do I make a purchase?
Here at M&B, we try to make your online shopping experience as easy and as enjoyable as possible. Use the navigation bar at the top of the page to browse items of interest, or go to ‘Gifting’ for our hand-picked suggestions. Once you’ve found an item, select any colour or sizing options from the drop-down list and click the ‘Add to Basket’ button. You can checkout or review the items in your basket at any time by clicking on the ‘Your Basket’ tab in the top left hand corner. Adjust quantities, add shipping or any special requests and click ‘Checkout’ to complete your order.
Can I cancel or amend my order?
We can change or cancel an order up until the time it is dispatched. Please contact us if you wish to do so.
How do I know if an item is in stock?
All items are in stock unless ‘Currently out of stock’ is displayed. If this is the case, just enter your email in the contact box and we will notify you when it is back in stock. Please be aware that, even if an item is in your basket, it can still be bought by another customer up until the point that you complete your order.
Why do I need to re-enter my credit card details when I add a new address?
For your security, whenever you request delivery to a new address we will ask you to provide new credit or debit card details (if you have previously stored them with us). This means that if someone guesses your password and tries to make an order using your account, they will be unable to do so. We hope you understand that this is a valuable precaution designed to protect your personal information.
How do I remove saved credit card details?
You can remove previously saved credit card details by editing or adding a new shipping or billing address. If, in future, you would rather M&B did not remember your details, simply unselect the option ‘remember my payment details’ on the payment page.
How soon can I get my order and how much will it cost?

Why do you need my phone number and email?
We need a valid email address and telephone number to contact you should any issues arise at point of delivery. Failure to provide these details could affect your delivery time. Should you have any concerns about how this information is used or stored, please visit our privacy page.
Where is my order?
We aim to dispatch all orders within 48 hours. You will receive an email confirmation once your order has been dispatched and it should be delivered to you within 2-5 working days. Estimated delivery times are to be used as a guide only and commence from the date of dispatch. M&B is not responsible for any delays caused by destination customs clearance processes.
How will I know that you have received my order and when will payment be deducted?
After placing your order, you will be sent an email confirming that it has been received. Your card will only be debited at time of dispatch (usually within 48 hours). In the rare instance that any of the items you have ordered are out of stock, you will receive an email from us. We will only charge your credit card for the value of the items in stock.
Can I track my order?
You will receive an email confirmation once your order has been dispatched. It should be delivered to you within 2-5 working days following this email.
How do I change currency?
To change currency, simply select the appropriate country icon on the top left hand corner of the website.
If you are a customer whose credit card is not denominated in Sterling, Euros, Dollars or Yen, the final price will be calculated in accordance with the applicable exchange rate on the day your credit card company processes the transaction.
What payment methods does M&B accept?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, Visa Debit, Visa Delta, Electron and JCB cards as well as PayPal. Payment is only debited from your account at time of dispatch.

Does M&B ship to multiple addresses?
You may only ship to one address per order. If your order contains gifts or items that require shipping to multiple locations, you will need to place separate orders for each address. Alternatively, we can change or cancel an order up until the time it is dispatched. Please e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you wish to do so.
Do you do gift wrapping?
Yes and we can wrap with ribbon for wedding gifts, birthday gifts or other special occasions - just choose your options at checkout. All our parcels are packaged using recycled paper. You also have the option of choosing a handwritten greeting card with a message of your choosing.
Is my parcel insured?
Insurance is not available on glass, ceramics or other breakables. However, if your order is not received intact, M&B is happy to refund you or resend your order. Situations which may occur outside of our control (such as theft and accidental damage while in transit) are not the responsibility of Makers & Brothers.
If your parcel is damaged upon arrival, we recommend that you either refuse the delivery, or make a note when signing for it that you are accepting a damaged box.
Can I change my shipping address after my order has been dispatched?
We can only change or cancel an order up until the time it is dispatched. Please e-mail us at email@example.com if you wish to do so.
Which countries does M&B ship to?
We ship to most European and international destinations. If you are unsure whether or not we ship to your country, please send an email listing the items you wish to purchase, along with the proposed destination country to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Why are shipping restrictions applied to some items?
Due to international trading agreements and regulations, we are obliged to adhere to particular shipping restrictions. As a result, some products are not allowed to be shipped to some countries. If you add a product to your shopping bag that we are not permitted to ship to your country, we will contact you as soon as possible. To proceed with purchasing this item, you may need to ship to a different destination address.
RETURNS AND EXCHANGES
How do I return or exchange an item?
If you intend to make a return, you must inform us at email@example.com within 7 days of placing the order, stating the order number your return relates to and whether you would like a refund or an exchange for another size/ colour, or whether the product is faulty.
How long do I have to return the item to you?
After notifying us, products must be returned to our office within 28 days of delivery.
Where do I return the items to?

Will you pay for return shipping costs?
In case of returning or exchanging items, the customer is responsible for all shipping costs (these are covered for faulty products only).
How should I re-package my order?
Please ensure any breakable items are packaged securely and that all return items are sent in the same shipment to ensure that it is processed as quickly as possible.
How long does the returns process take?
It can take up to 10 days for your return to be delivered back to our shed, depending on which postal service you use. You will be notified by email as soon as your return has been received and processed.
Will I be refunded the full value of my order?
Any refund will be credited to the original purchaser’s card and will be exclusive of shipping costs (these are covered for faulty products and cancellations only). If your order has been sent to a destination within the EU, all sales taxes will be refunded. Outside the EU, customs duties and sales taxes are non-refundable. However, you may be able to recover these by contacting your local customs bureau directly.
How long will it take for the money to be credited to my account?
This typically takes 10 working days, dependent on your bank or card issuer. Unfortunately M&B are unable to influence this.
Will you refund my delivery charge?
Any refund will be credited to the original purchaser’s card and will be exclusive of shipping costs (these are covered for faulty products and cancellations only).
How do I know if you have received my returned items?
You will be notified by email as soon as your return has been received and processed.
1. Select a gift card amount (gift cards are currently only available in Euros (EUR)).
2. Choose a delivery method: email or post.
3. Once you select ‘add to basket’, you will be asked to enter the recipient’s name, email and a personal message (optional).
- The virtual gift card will be sent to the receiver as soon as we have accepted your order and taken payment.
Can I buy multiple gift cards?
If you would like gift cards to be sent to more than one address, we suggest placing a new order for each required gift card. If you are sending multiple gift cards to the same address, simply change the recipient's details where applicable and keep adding them to your basket.
Can I choose the gift card amount?
Our gift cards are available in the following fixed denominations: €50, €75, €100, €150, €200, €250, €300. If you’d like a certain amount, we suggest purchasing multiple cards to achieve your desired value. They can all be bundled into the same order.
Can I send a paper gift voucher?
Yes - simply choose ‘post’ as your delivery method from the drop down menu in the gift cards box to receive a physical copy of your card.
How do I redeem a gift card?
Simply enter the 9 digit code on your voucher in the gift card box at the checkout. Click ‘update basket’ and the amount should be deducted from your basket.
What should I do if I am unable to use my gift card?

Can I use my gift card to pay for shipping, delivery and/ or taxes?
Yes, an M&B gift card can be used to cover all purchasing costs.
Will I have to pay tax and duties on my gift card?
No, tax and duties are not applied to gift card orders.
Can I use a promotional code to purchase a gift card?
Only free shipping promotional codes can be used when purchasing a posted gift card.
Where is my virtual gift card?
You should receive your virtual gift card within one hour of purchase. If you have not received a notification via email, please check your junk or spam folder. Alternatively, please email our team at email@example.com or call +353 (0)1 663 8080.
Can I return a gift card?
Unfortunately, gift cards cannot be returned or exchanged for cash.
Can I return items bought with a gift voucher?
Yes - your items will be exchanged for store credit.
Is is safe to use my credit card online at M&B?
M&B takes your personal online security very seriously. We use the latest SSL encryption technology to store and safely transmit your personal and credit card information through our systems and all orders are processed through a secure checkout system provided by Realex payments.
Additionally, for your safety and protection, we will confirm that the billing address you provide matches the address on file with your credit card company. You can also choose to securely store your card details with us. This means you will not have to enter them again during future purchases, making it quicker and simpler to shop at M&B. If you would prefer to place your order by telephone, please feel free to contact us - we would be more than happy to help.
Is my personal information kept private?
Makers & Brothers fully respects your right to privacy and will not collect any personal information on this website without your clear permission. We do not require you to provide personal information unless you explicitly wish to avail of our features or services. We understand that your privacy is important and we will treat any personal information you provide us as confidential. All such information will only be used and recorded in accordance with the Data Protection Acts. At no point will we rent or sell this personal information.
We will treat as confidential all of the personal information you give to us when you register with us using the facility on this website. This includes your name, address, email address, telephone contact number(s), gender, date of birth and banking details. What are Cookies? How do they affect me?
In short, cookies are designed to assist your shopping experience and are therefore nothing to worry about. Do you have a shop?

Is your packaging environmentally friendly?
At M&B we try to use minimum packaging and to reuse as much as possible to make the minimum impact on the environment. All our parcels are packaged using recycled paper.
Does M&B have seasonal sales?
Yes, we do - just check our website for details. Please note that, due to the exclusive nature of much of our stock, we cannot guarantee that an item will still be available for purchase late in the season.
